Privacy
CityVibe is built to need as little information as possible. Here's exactly what happens when you use it.
What we collect
- Your answer. The word or phrase you submit, the city you picked, and an optional emoji. These are shown publicly and anonymously in that city's word cloud.
- A random session ID. Your browser stores a random identifier so we can count how many people are online and avoid double counting. It isn't linked to your identity.
- Your IP address, briefly. It's used only to limit spam (a few posts per minute) and is automatically deleted within 48 hours.
What we don't collect
No names, emails, phone numbers, passwords, location tracking, payment details or advertising trackers. There's no login and no sign-up.
How long we keep it
Answers are kept for about two days so each city's day can be shown in its own time zone, and then they're deleted automatically.
Local storage
Your browser remembers your selected city and the answers you posted today, so the page can show them back to you. You can clear this any time by clearing your browser's site data.
Third parties
The site is hosted on Vercel. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. Answers are stored in an Upstash Redis database. We don't sell or share data with anyone.

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date above.
